2020 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders
After the suspension of organizing Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic, the Board of Director of Digiworld did issue the Resolution on organizing the 2020 AGM plan with these main contents:

  1. The record date to exercise the right: May 28, 2020
  2. Expected date of organizing the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders 2020: June 29, 2020
  3. Proposal:
  • 2020 Business Plan: Net Revenue: VND 10,200 billion; Profit after Tax: VND 202 billion
  • Proposed Appropriation of Profit Plan: Cash Dividend: VND 1,000 per share – Ratio: 10%
  • 2020 Employee Stock Ownership Plan
  • Change of Governance Structure: organizational restructuring according to the organizational model at Point b, Clause 1, Article 134 of the Law on Enterprises.
  • Additional election of an independent member of the Board of Directors.



According to the GFK report, laptop sales saw robust growth in Q1/2020, increased 30% yoy, especially in Feb – when Covid-19 pandemic began to break out and work-from-home demand increased dramatically. Online shopping channel also benefited when the social distancing regulation made shopping offline replaced by online.


Thanks to growth motivation from Lunar New Year, Smartphone growth remained stable in the first 2 months of 2020. However, during Social distancing and work-from-home, laptops took priority over smartphones within ICT products. It made smartphones demand declined in the next two months. According to GFK report, smartphone revenue in Q1/2020 decreased slightly over the same period (-3%).

Office Equipment
Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the increasing demand for learning – working from home has led to an increase in sales of IoTs products such as robot vacuums, air purifiers, etc. However, this cause the slight decrease of the demand of office equipment.
Consumer goods
Revenue from OTC channels (pharmacies and drugstores) increased by 165% in the first two months over the same period last year due to: (1) Keeping stock of common medicine increased such as analgesic – antipyretic, cough medicine, eye drops and decongestant spray. (2) Demand for preventive products increased such as masks and hand washes. (3) Increasing demand for vitamin and immune-boosting products.
Covid – 19 created a change in consumer carts, replacing non-essential FMCG products such as beverages and sweets with “emergency” categories to serve the storage demand and disease prevention.
  • 1Q20 revenue: reached VND 2,311 billion, increased 68% year on year.
  • 1Q20 net profit: reached VND 44,8 billion, rose 83% year on year.

Growth came from all product groups, especially Laptop and Mobile phone with 69% and 96% year on year growth. Specifically, Digiworld’s 1Q20 business result is broken down as follows:

– Laptops & tablets
recorded a robust growth with VND 791 billion revenue, boosted 69% year on year thanks to rising demand for studying and working from home during the COVID-19 outbreak.
– Mobile phones
revenue reached VND 1,142 billion, up 96% year on year thanks to a number of new models launching earlier this year.
– Office equipment
Revenue reached VND 315 billion, increased 31% over same period last year. This segment is expected to enjoy long-term growth with the ongoing digital transformation trend. Especially, during the COVID – 19 pandemic, work from home demand has promoted this segment to a steady-state growth.
– Consumer goods: Revenue reached VND 63 billion, a slight increase of 19% compared with same period last year from current brands.
Grew over 50% for the third consecutive quarter, Digiworld achieved a new revenue record in the 1st quarter of 2020.
