DIGIWORLD SHOWING ITS CAUTION IN BUSINESS PLAN, ADHERENCE TO ITS GOALS AND POWER OF MES

Ho Chi Minh City, April 26, 2023, Digiworld Corporation - “DGW” held the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2023.

After 2 years of implementing the dual goal of "fighting the epidemic and developing the economy", the year 2022 saw positive recoveries in Vietnam. However, our country cannot avoid difficulties and challenges due to the influence of the context of world macro instability and Digiworld is no exception to this decline.

It can be clearly seen that in the context of world ups and downs, everyone tightened their spending, and most of Digiworld's business lines had a rapid decline, especially in the second half of the year. However, last year, Digiworld recorded growth in both revenue and profit. Specifically, in 2022 Digiworld has a net revenue of VND 22,028 billion, an increase of 5%, a profit of VND 684 billion, an increase of 4% compared to the previous year, a year with a high base when Digiworld set new revenue peaks by benefiting from the trend of learning and working from home.

Continuing in 2022, considering the context of the economy, at the General Meeting of Shareholders, Digiworld's Board of Directors submitted a business plan for 2023 with revenue of VND 20,000 billion and profit after tax of VND 400 billion. Which, the mobile phone segment still accounts for the largest proportion of the revenue structure, followed by the contribution of laptops, office equipment, consumer goods and home appliances, respectively.

At the meeting, Digiworld announced the Revenue for the first quarter of 2023. Specifically, in the first quarter of 2023, its revenue reached 3960 billion dongs, a profit of VND 79 billion. Previously, the company also announced the dividend plan in 2022 to shareholders in cash as follows: dividend at the rate of 10%, equivalent to 1,000 dong dividend per share. It is expected to take place in 2023.

The global economic recession, and severe banking crises in the US in early 2023, have led to increased inflation, affecting consumers. In 2023 it is predicted that even if there is a recovery, it will not be significant. Digiworld's main business is in the ICT industry – with peaked demand for computers and phones during the Covid season, so it expects negative growth in 2023 when compared to the high income of 2 years ago.

Despite being affected by the market, Digiworld's Board of Directors will make a reasonable effort to maintain growth in the Office Equipment segment at 15%, the Home Appliance segment at 65% and the Consumer Goods segment at 157%. Digiworld has a rich experience base accumulated during 26 years of penetration and market development with businesses through MES (Market Expansion Services), 26 years of continuous growth, and continuously setting new records. Digiworld today, with its understanding of market insight well, confidence in its business strategy, and risk management ability, believes that it can stand firmly, overcome big waves, and achieve business goals even when there is no longer the push from Covid.

In 2023, Digiworld will continue to be consistent with its horizontal and vertical development strategy as always. The company keeps searching for new potential customers and their tastes and uses the advantage of MES to accompany the businesses, bring in revenue and contribute to the overall structure. For example, in the first months of 2023 Digiworld has cooperated with new businesses in various segments including home appliances with Westinghouse brand from the US, FMCG industry with the largest beverage brand Lotte Chilsung in Korea. Previously, at the end of 2022, Digiworld succeeded in closing a "deal" with foreign beer giant AB InBev with famous brands namely Budweiser, Corona, and Hoegaarden. In the first quarter of 2023, these beer brands contributed positively to Digiworld's revenue.

One of Digiworld's other strategies for 2023 is to reduce profits to prioritize market share, maintain traditional distribution channels and build distribution channels for new products. In addition, the 26-year-old Digiworld maintains its core strategy named Facility, People and Opportunity with People always be the focus. The company keeps taking care of the spirit, inspiration as well as motivation by rewarding the staff, who have always accompanied and made contributions throughout the journey of Digiworld.

Digiworld team is consistent in the spirit of "Fire tests gold" in the new financial year of 2023. It considers the immediate challenge as “fire”, which is a vital element for forging “gold”. Digiworld people are real gold, and real gold is not afraid of fire, we can also transform and turn danger into opportunity. Digiworld believes that choosing the technology industry and developing based on the MES value chain is always the right and effective way to bring the company to success. The demand for ICT, IoT is still there and they will be an increasingly essential product group as technology evolves.
